I am Eunice Cofie, your Miss Black Florida USA 2008! I am very honored to represent the beautiful Sunshine State in the Miss Black USA Scholarship Pageant, a pageant that empowers African-American women to be leaders. As Miss Black Florida USA, I will be promoting my platform, "Preventing Childhood Obesity and Diabetes through Education and Life Transforming Habits" throughout the state of Florida. During my reign, I will serve as your ambassador and will dedicate myself to making a positive impact that can never be erased!

The Miss Black USA Scholarship Pageant Overview

History: The Miss Black USA Pageant and Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit corporation in the state of Maryland. It is recognized under the 501 (c) 3 code of the Internal Revenue Service. The Miss Black U.S.A. Pageant and Scholarship Foundation, Inc., was founded in 1986 by Karen Arrington.

Vision: The Miss Black USA Foundation strives to become the largest single source of scholarship funds for African-American women. It endeavors to create strategic partnerships that will sustain the ongoing legacy of achievement that fuels the dreams of the next generation of leaders and strengthens the foundation of our community.

Mission: The Miss Black USA Foundation develops and promotes national leadership among women in the African-American community. It aggressively dispels stereotypes that narrowly define achievement and beauty, it produces women who are assertive, self-disciplined, confident, educated, and who believe in serving as examples to other women of color.

Scholarship: The Miss Black USA Pageant and Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is host to an annual premier event. The Miss Black USA Pageant is a competition that provides scholarship opportunities that allow state delegates to pursue and achieve their educational, professional, and personal goals.

Community Service: The Miss Black USA Pageant and Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is a community driven organization. It is committed to addressing leading social issues in the African-American community, such as health and education. Each winner of her respective state pageant will use her civic platform to promote awareness of these issues during her reign.
